We went here to get a crab cake from Faidleys. I thought Lexington Market would be more like a big Farmers Market, but it seemed to be more like a big dining hall/food court. There were a lot of locals and it did not seem that clean. I do not recommend.

Cursed internet setting my expectations to high. Don't get me wrong the place is cool, but I was expecting a lot more variety. Most of the vendors sell the same types of things and it didn't really have that open market feel.

Go there about once a week. Work At Univ MD. Hanako now for sushi, Chicken livers at Parks, Faidley's always good for seafood across the board. Berger's cookies for dessert.

Ive lived in Baltimore all my life. This may be a place to visit just to see just because its a landmark. But the food is truley sub-par. The market can be much cleaner but I gues because of the high traffic its a little difficult. I rarely go here any more.

Mostly food stalls, budget bakeries, some veggie stands, etc. Lots of people hanging around the market area can make one uncomfortable. About 6 blocks from Inner Harbor - has paid parking garage and off street parking, but once again, lots of locals hang out there - I ve been there 3-4 times, and its not as touristy or vibrant as... This market has some good stalls but the whole area surrounding the market and the market itself just seems so dirty. Interesting but the area needs to clean up before the masses will come.

If it's markets that you like, there are several in the city that are smaller, in better locations and with booths or stalls of offerings that are as unique (or not) as Lexington. So much potential wasted. Try Federal Hill or Fells Point for smaller, nicer experiences

To the people who think this is the height of grittiness, you are very sheltered and need to get out more. Lexington Market is right next to the University of Maryland graduate/professional schools (medicine, law, social work, etc) and the Hippodrome theater. Yes, there are poor people in/near the market, but Baltimore is full of poor people. If you're scared... More

I remember coming to this Market as a child. Now, it's just a very smelly (like old garbage and fish) rodent-infested place. So sad.
