The free exhibits were very well designed, including more technology (touch screen displays, audio, etc) than most national parks. Topics covered included the War of 1812, the Star Spangled Banner, and the fort. Entry to the fort itself is $7 per person but worth a look into the past and the war. The guided tour by the park rangers was... More

With the bridge out, it is a little tough to get around but worth the trouble. The fort has a new visitor center and is all fresh looking in prep for the 200th war of 1812 celebration :)

It's well preserved and the park does a wonderful job with its displays and Ranger led talks setting the scene for the famous siege which inspired the Star Spangled Banner. It... More

Nice place to go with children...wide open spaces and history combine to make a perfect way to spend the day with family. Enjoyed the beautiful lawns, and the history of the area was very informative with out being overwhelming for young ones.
