For those interested in a by-gone era, make sure to stop at the Streetcar Museum. This is an all-volunteer organization, with a nice little museum showing the history of the streetcars in Baltimore. The museum is a little hard to find, and just when I was sure I was in the wrong place, there it was. The place was an A+ hit with the children. Mine are 3,6,and 9. They were all having a great time. 3 different working trolley cars that they were able to ride. The gentlemen driving them were dressed... more

Don't confuse this with the better-known B&O Railroad Museum located near Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The Baltimore Trolley Car (or Streetcar) Museum is far off the tourist track, in a dingy but somehow charming industrial area at the north end of town.
