We did a midnight tour on Halloween and there were white forms in weird shapes over some of the graves. I kid you not.

Great place to walk around, take photos- but needed a guide- better than the pamphlet they'll hand you to be able to really enjoy the stories and know what you're seeing. Hot- so bring an umbrella for shade.

Suggest you take your time and drive through this cemetery - beautiful oaks tree lined paths and along the river. Stop at the office first to pick up map. You don't need to take a guided tour.

Had a friend tell us about what she had read about this beautiful place......she was right, we really enjoyed walking around and reading the tombstones. The trees are amazing. So much history!!

I did not visit Bonaventure on a previous trip to Savannah, but was really glad I did this time. It was beautiful and interesting. We did not take a guided tour, but that may be worthwhile. I just enjoyed walking around and looking at the beautiful monuments.

Walked through the cemetery. Wish we had done a tour but didn't have time. The cemetery is huge! And beautiful!

While Bonaventure is really an interesting and stunning place, the tour we went on had a boring tour guide who was difficult to hear and kept scolding everyone in the group for standing on graves.

A must see when visiting Savannah. Take your camera.

We stopped in at the front office of the cemetert and a volunteer tour guide was there and gave us a great historical brief and the famous people that are buried there.
