With family in town for Thanksgiving and after driving by the park frequently but never having visited, we decided to finally visit. What a nice place to take your family for a picnic, or a nice romantic stroll with a loved one. This park with the beautiful fountain, small up and coming amphitheater, historic statues and cozy park-side benches offers... more

Forsyth Park is large and a nice attraction. Joggers run by, dogs pull their owners along, there is a very attractive fountain, even more of the oak trees, lots of open space for people to enjoy physical activities and it is surrounded by more of the attractive and large old homes. It stands sort of at the edge of the... more

Worth a stop, not only for the fountain, but for the massive live oaks. Incredible photography spot. Go during the day. more

The park is botanically beautiful...large "alive" oak trees, meandering sidewalks and the fountain. The open areas are usually full of sport (frisbee, football, rugby and lazy bystanders). But...Sundays bring the homeless and bench sleepers. Trash from the "free meals" usually overflows the bins. Some areas almost feel unsafe. more

The park is nice and there was nothing inherently wrong with my visit there, but I guess I had really high expectations for what essentially turned out to be a field, a fountain, and a monument. There was construction going on and quite a bit of litter which was sad to see. The park squares we visited on the walk... more

On my first visit to Savh. My brother-in-law took me and my sister to Forsythe park. I slid down the slideing board and knocked the breathe out of me. I will never forget the fountain (was probably the only one I had seen at the time.) I was only 11 yrs. old. I have been in love with Savannah ever... more

This is what a park should feel like. The 2 times that I walked thru it the fast paced life which we are so accustomed to seemed to fade. Agendas seem to melt as I watched children playing with eachother, people throwing frisbees or balls, walking their dogs, running and lots of people strolling thru. It's nice way to relax... more

The park is beautiful especially on a full sunny day. The people watching is great too.....all the locals and the local daycare kids playing in the park. Be aware that if you go in 2008 that they are doing some construction on parts of the park but it definitely does not take away from the overall beauty. more

Don't miss seeing Forsyth Park. The squares & street "medians" (unworthy word to describe them) are stunning, but FP is heavenly. Get off the trolley tour here & explore every detail. Savannah is such a deep place . . . more

My wife and I visited Savannah in July,2006. We ventured into Forsyth Park and were mesmerized by its beauty and elegance. We found a well shaded bench beneath the live oaks before the fountain and enjoyed the peaceful chatter of nature. FP is a must see...the pathways, the moss, the oaks and the picture perfect setting...no words can describe the... more
