I was fascinated to learn about justice system of the "Wild West." They also have a small, but effective display on the Trail of Tears. Well worth the visit.

Judge Parker has become known as the hanging judge, and his gallows, court and jail are still there, as well as some of the fort buildings, and foundations. It's a must see if your in Fort Smith.

This is where "the hanging judge" Isaac Parker became famous. He always said he hated to hang 'em but he had to go by the law.
