Great staff to great you and a short 10 min movie to get your oriented to who Gari Melchers was. Beautiful art studio with 3 floors of paintings. Great tour of his home and then we wandered the beautiful gardens. Well worth a stop if in the Fredericksburg area!

I had never hear of Gari Melcher but I am now a fan. The house is great with much of the original items. Even better is his art studio with dozens of his paintings on display.

This is a nice place a bit off the beaten path - with beautiful artwork and a great history story.

Mary Washington College deserves a lot of credit for this charming and welcoming museum.
