We stayed at Debie's Hideway and Tony recommended we go to Lower Antelope Canyon to avoid the crowds. It was a great recommendation!! No reservations are necessary. You just walk up and the cost is only $26. We were on a tour of 11 people led by a 15 year old Navajo girl. She didn't narrate a lot, but then...

My husband & I visited the Lower Canyon on May 6. After reading many reviews on the web we decided to bypass the Tour Companies advertized in town and drove directly to the Canyons. It only cost $20 each plus a $6 fee each to enter the park. We had planned to go to the Upper Canyon but our timing...

Lionel Bigthumb guided us on a complete daytrip through 5 slot canyons. Over 1000 photos later I am in awe of Nature's beauty and the Navajo's care of it. Although I managed the day in flipflops, I would advise tennis shoes at the least, plenty of water, and fresh camera batteries. Awesome in the true sense of the word.
We booked a 2 hour photo tour in Upper Canyon with Antelope Canyon Navajo tours (David Etcitty) on May 14. It's a love hate review. If you're in Page, you do need to visit Antelope Canyon because it is spectacular, but the crowds are extreme, and it's a real challenge to get a good shot.
The amount of dust and...

Noon to two pm, are the best hours as the higher the sun in the sky the more spectacular are the rays that come through the canyon Both the upper and the Lower Canyons are...

Cool place, however the canyon was packed of turists and made it almost imposible to get a proper shot of the canyon
Antelope Canyon is a world-class attraction. Yes, you will see 1/2 of Europe there, crammed into the slot 30-40 at a time along with you. You will be herded through like cattle, and the Navajo who own and run the place will continually be hassling you to keep up and hurry up, your time there is limited. (They are pretty...

Had read on Tripadvisor that upper canyon trip was most accessible. I thought very good. The truck ride out a bit bumpy but doable. Guides point out specific camera angles and shots. "No flash, no sky" constant reminder. Only complaint was the feeling of being rushed through groups of 12 close on heels of each other. I was on 9:30...
