From Wahweap marina, boat trips can be taken to visit Rainbow Bridge, the world's largest known natural arch rock formation and a sacred Navaho place, but this really needs to be booked well in advance and may be inaccessible due to low water in a drought. I have been to Rainbow Bridge three times. What an experience. The first time we were on a 36 foot houseboat. The canyon walls are so high that you have to put your head all the way back to see the tops. And what beautiful colors of the canyon wall and textures.
