We had so much fun getting our hands dirty at Alewine Pottery. It was only $5 to try it; $25 to have the piece you create glazed, fired and mailed to your home. What a cool experience. Cory helped all of us make our own creations and she was incredibly patient. She calmly encouraged us and when we were finished... more

I have been to the Arts and Crafts Community a few times before but hadn't stopped here until last week and I am so glad I did. This is a wonderful place! It is located at 623 Glades Rd and it's just past the Morning Mist Village complex, about a third of the way through the loop. You can watch... more

This place was not what we expected. Maybe not our taste even I dont know. We love shopping in little stores ecspecially when its locals, but the price on majority of this stuff was outragious plus the fact that it is all spread out and not really in a community but spread out amoung an area is even worse. more

My husband and I love this area. We especially like using the trolley system to get around the Arts and Crafts loop. You can park your vehicle and then get on and off the trolley as you please. more

Set aside several hours and be prepared for stopping at lots of interesting shopping areas, hopping in and out of your car and looking into many cute shops during your drive along this shopping loop. Be sure to look for the official logo/poster and number in the window of the shops that are official members of the community--they guarantee that... more

Spend a couple hours or a full day at this wonderful arts and crafts community. My wife and I have been to many communities around the country, and this one is our favorite! Individually, some of the shops are great and some are just average. But taken as a whole, and with the pretty scenery around it, this community is... more

My husband and I and our 3 year old had a great time. Looking at all the stuff and talking to the people. It has better stuff in these shops then at the cheesy tourist shops in Gburg. We bought Ping Pong Guns for $6 my nephew LOVED his. Sling shots that the handle is a carved bear. We went... more

Great shopping. The Arts and Crafts Community is one of the few things left in Gatlinburg area that hasn't changed too much in the last 20 years. This is the heart of what the Smockey Mountains are about. Buying anything or not, it's a great way to spend the day more

This is an arts/crafts community made up of individual retail establishments spread out over an 8 mile loop road. Some are in small strip type complexes, others in homes, and others in stand alone shops. All feature handmade crafts, with an Appalachian background. I highly recommend Ogle's Broom shop. He is a 3rd generation broom maker. His brooms (and canes/walking... more

One of my favorite places to shop in Gatlinburg is the shops on the Arts and Crafts Loop. It's located just outside of downtown Gatlinburg but feels world's away. My favorite store along the loop is the G. Webb Gallery. My husband and I found this little treasure my accident on our first trip together to TN back in December... more
