Set aside several hours and be prepared for stopping at lots of interesting shopping areas, hopping in and out of your car and looking into many cute shops during your drive along this shopping loop. Be sure to look for the official logo/poster and number in the window of the shops that are official members of the community--they guarantee that... more
Spend a couple hours or a full day at this wonderful arts and crafts community. My wife and I have been to many communities around the country, and this one is our favorite! Individually, some of the shops are great and some are just average. But taken as a whole, and with the pretty scenery around it, this community is... more
My husband and I and our 3 year old had a great time. Looking at all the stuff and talking to the people. It has better stuff in these shops then at the cheesy tourist shops in Gburg. We bought Ping Pong Guns for $6 my nephew LOVED his. Sling shots that the handle is a carved bear. We went... more
Great shopping. The Arts and Crafts Community is one of the few things left in Gatlinburg area that hasn't changed too much in the last 20 years. This is the heart of what the Smockey Mountains are about. Buying anything or not, it's a great way to spend the day more

Some are in small strip type complexes, others in homes, and others in stand alone shops. All feature handmade crafts, with an Appalachian background. I highly recommend Ogle's Broom shop. He is a 3rd generation broom maker. His brooms (and canes/walking... more

My favorite store along the loop is the G. Webb Gallery. My husband and I found this little treasure my accident on our first trip together to TN back in December... more
My Husband and I just returned from a wonderful vacation in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. We did not want to do the typical tourist shopping but wanted to bring back some unique gifts and momentos. I have to say I was disappointed. I felt like I had stepped back into the 70's in some shops and not in a good way and... more
I have lived in Sevierville for nearly 5 years. A few weeks ago, two of my girlfriends and I decided to plan a day outing in the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Community. Although I'd heard of it, I had never visited the area. There are so many wonderful shops there but one really stood out. A little shop called The... more
We went to the Great Smoky Mountains Arts & Crafts last year. I't was great. I did a lot of my Christmas shopping there. Also, it was just a great time. They had a man playing and singing and there were just all kinds of items I'f you go to Gatlinburg in October, you should try it. I't is for... more
