We got to see freshly fallen snow atop Mt. LeConte as we looked over Gatlinburg, which was lovely all surrounded with greenery.

I stayed at Ridge mountain resort but i would also recommond a lot of camping sites and cabin along the Gatilnburg. The views to the smokey is specatular. All along the road you would find a lot of scenic overlook even try the foothill scenic overlook, the bypass overlook they all give you spectacular view of the great Smokey Mountains
This overlook was a great stop for pictures of the town.
We drove up to the overlook back in December at night. The lights of the city are amazing from up there. You will not be disappointed.
You will not be disappointed! Just absolutely beautiful. It is hard to describe. I loved taking a lot of pictures :)
Very serine and peaceful. I love the great views of the Smokies.
We stop by here on each trip to the Gatlinburg area. The view is great 12 months of the year. Take a little to time to enjoy the view. Sometimes crowded.
If you go to Gatlinburg and don't go into the mountains, you've made a HUGE mistake. So if you've spent all your time inside Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, then definitely, at the very least, go to this overlook.
The view was out of this world. Everything freshly green feel the energy in the streams and smell the cripy air. Simply wonderful.
high up, long drive, but free. on the way to clingmans dome
