If you go to the Gatlinburg area you have to stop here. The pottery is great! But more than that the people who work here are outstanding. You can go see pottery being made talk to the potters as they are making items and they are more than happy to speak with you and answer any questions you may have... More

Let me say I traveled here to get my precious God Mother a batter bowl replacement because hers got broken over this past Christmas. I am not a Alewine product fan because of their love of leaves but now I am CERTAINLY not a fan because of their snooty customer service practices. I visited on Wednesday, March 14 to get... More

I watched the Alewine ads on Gatlinburg Channel TV and really enjoyed them. Mr. Alewine is very personable and entertaining. When we went to the store we were let down. The pottery is indeed beautiful but the live potters demonstrating the craft were doing repetitive and mundane tasks with little to no interaction. The country music singers were very good.... More

We saw a show on TV featuring Bob Alewine and his pottery which led us to pay the place a visit. The pieces of pottery were excellent quality and the staff and Mr Alewine were very accomodating and friendly. We will be back on our next trip to the Smokies

My friend and I visited Alewine Pottery in September 2011. They make the most beautiful pottery I've had the opportunity to see. Plan to visit again in 2012 and will probably buy another piece.

Went to Allwine Pottery yesterday after having visited 3 or 4 other pottery shops along the craftsman's loop. Allwine Pottery was definitely the largest, and the workmanship of the pottery was ok. But the pieces were all quite derivative country kitsch. If you want to see unique or beautiful pottery go to any other potter besides Allwine.

Take a step back in time at Alewine Pottery! From the cokes in the old ice boxes on the front porch to the free live music by Jerry and Joan to watching them make the pottery - it's an experience the whole fily will enjoy!
