it was our last night in the area so my wife and i decided to bite the bullet and take a ride up the mtn on the tram. The ride is absolutely beautiful. We went up there looking for the bear cubs and none were there. There were 3 bears in a very depressing environment. The tram ride up to the park is great. The park itself.... Not so much. This could be and should be a wonderful attraction but it almost seems like an afterthought. So sad.

There are two ways to get to the park. If your staying in Gatlinburg you can take the Ober Gatlinbug cable tram, ( I suggest this because parking is another five dollars at the park and you don`t have to drive). This was a pleasant surprise. We came here to go on the alpine slide and found other activities. This is a nice hidden gem in Gatlinburg. They even had some food items that we are accustomed to back home at the snack bar. The view is great as well.
