I went to the Ratanakiri province of Northeast Cambodia with "See Cambodia Differently" in January. It was a fantastic experience; one I will never forget. After a rather tough mountain bike ride from Veun Sai town to the gibbon research centre, we stopped overnight at the centre, before starting at 4:30 a.m. in search of the gibbons. Reaching the gibbon... More

The most incredible experience and a real highlight of our 6 week trip of Asia. We took our 2 boys aged 9 and 11 and they loved every minute. We cycled into the camp, through river beds and jungles, then camped in hammocks under the stars. The camp, the people, the equipment, the food, the experience, all 5 star! A... More

We stumbled upon the Gibbon Spotting Cambodia experience by accident through some internet research and all I can say is I AM SOOO GLAD WE DID! This experience was truly the highlight of our Cambodia adventure and well worth the 10hrs in a taxi from PP to Bang Lung.. Our trip started the night before where we met with our... More

I recently undertook a trip from Siem Reap to the far NE of Cambodia to spend some time looking for the relatively rare northern yellow-cheeked gibbon. I had never heard of this species which is hardly surprising since it was unknown (to western science) until 3 years ago. My first love is birds, but I also like wildlife and the... More

Seeing the Gibbons was definitely one of the highlights of our Cambodia trip! It was truly an adventure, which started with the trip there by car, boat, and a great mountain bike track for the last kilometers to the camp though rice fields and forest. As a non-experienced mountain biker I found the ride a bit tough at times (especially... More

I went on the Gibbon Spotting day trek with my boyfriend, mum and her friend. It was really great. A fantastic balance of cycling, walking, talking about gibbons and eating! I really loved it. We got to meet a scientist based close to where we saw gibbons that has been doing PHD research in the area. It was great to... More

Having recently returned from a break in the north of Cambodian on a Cambodian Wildlife Tour organised by See Cambodia Differently. I can honestly say that Gibbon Spotting Cambodia proved to be the highlight of my 10 day trip. If you enjoy the outdoors and are interested in wildlife then look no further, this tour is perfect for you. We... More

This is a two-day tour from Ban Lung (ref. GibbonSpottingCambodia.com) which takes you on a 3-4hr trip into the jungle to a research station from which various treks are organised and where you spend a night. The transfer there and back is by car, boat and mountain bike, and the latter is often on bumpy terrain. The research centre offers... More

Coming from don det in laos, we went to ban lung in cambodia to experience the gibbon spotting we heard about as being a new and very exciting experience. We contacted by mail and within 48hours a private tour for the 2 of us was organised! It has been a great experience and extremely well organised. After the jeep drive... More

As a travel journalist, I had the privilege of participating in the first Gibbon Spotting Cambodia (GSC) trip and would do it again in a heartbeat. Don’t get me wrong, the trip is hot, very physical and not in any way for the casual, big-bus, tourist type - nor should it be. That's part of what makes it so special.... More
