Accompanied our 4th grader on a field trip to the Herbert Hoover Museum and must say this museum far exceeded expectations. The small museum showcases Iowa's humble humanitarian who has been much maligned in history books. Hoover was a great great man, son of a blacksmith, orphaned early on, understood the value of education and hard work, took chances globally... More

I went here not expecting much. I was in the area and wanted to get the stamp in my national park passport. I was pleasantly surprised by the museum. It was very well done/put together. Glad I went there!

Many, many of the original manuscripts and papers of Rose Wilder Lane are kept here. Hours of enjoyment. Very knowledgeable staff.

It is very informative about early 20th century history. I will say the famine photos are large and graphic and may scare young kids. The buildings... More

We vIsited The Hoover Presidential Library and Museum with 10 yr old granddaughter to see the annual theme decorated Christmas trees - 2011 was fairy tale fantasy. She loved every minute of it and took pictures for ideas for her own small fairy tale tree next year - with plans to duplicate some of the hand made ornaments. We then... More
