The plantation tour is really just a pick-up/drop off service as they only drive you to the various plantations. We took the small airboat tour of the bayous around Lafitte. The trip lasted about 2 hours while we explored canals and bayous, looking for alligators, herons, raccoons, and other wildlife. We were on the Westbank Plantation Tour with Stanley Bergeron. He was very knowledgeable, providing interesting information about the areas and cultures involved with the two plantations. He answered our questions fully, utilizing his lifelong experience with the area. This was a very enjoyable trip.
