My sister took this tour two years ago and highly recommend it to us and she wasn't lying. It was terrific.

The Plantation and Swamp Tour was the highlight of our trip to New Orleans. Our guide, Diane, was very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting information with us en route to our destinations. Both of the plantations we visited exceeded our expectations and were 2 of the most beutiful places I have ever seen. The Swamp tour was especially interesting....

We had two tours with Isabelle Tours -- our first one was for a full day of Bayous and two plantations, including a (surprisingly) good lunch at Oak Plantation. The day after, we had a City Tour. Both our guides, Jennie and Murielle, were top-notch professionals, full of information and very knowledgeable.

After checking reviews on plantation tours -- decided on Tours by Isabelle. Bit more expensive but during the ride to the planations - our tour guide educated us as to the history behind each plantation and history of cajun people. Also pointed out points of interest enroute. Only 8 people in our van so we were able to learn a...

Took two tours with these folks, both excellent. Post-Katrina van tour with Diane hit these areas that flooded: lakefront, St. Bernard parish, lower 9th ward. Well worth it. Get out of the French Quarter and see a little more of New Orleans.
Plantation tour with Joseph was long but also well worth it. Hits two plantations, one Creole (with an...

I scheduled a tour with Isabelle several weeks before my visit to New Orleans. They informed me that they had to have four people before they would confirm the tour, but that there shouldn't be a problem because there were several weeks before we wanted it scheduled. I kept calling back to confirm over the next couple of weeks and...

I am really sorry you did not get to go on this tour with us in spite of planning so well in advance. As we explain over the phone, and as mentioned on our www.toursbyisabelle.com website, we do need to reach a minimum of either 4 or 6 people for our tours, we are a small company and it is...

I went on my second trip to the quarter and HAD to do a plantation tour this time around because I didn't have the money last time. I have always dreamt of the OAP and wanted to see it. I was not let down.
First, the van was a little early and called to let us know beforehand. Our driver,...

Our first visit to this area - an excelllent tour, giving a good cross section of the area and its history. The driver/guide, Joseph, was both a good driver and knowledgeable guide - he told us a lot about everything we saw on the entire trip including the modern port of New Orleans and the industry and agriculture of the...

Simply outstanding! Small group made it cozy and inviting. Stanley was our driver and main guide, and he was incredibly knowledgeable and outgoing. Mr. Torres, the swamp guide, is "the" legendary Cajun settler who enjoyed sharing stories and show us the wildlife. Our 9 yo daughter had a great time feeding marshmallows to the alligators and spotting egrettes and blue...

We took the post Katrina tour. Our guide was very knowlegeable and friendly. We had 7 people on a 15 passenger van, so it was very comfortable. It was enjoyable to see other parts of New Orleans. My only complaint is that there is really not much left to see. While I did gain insight into the tragedy and what...
