We took our boys for a surprise this weekend to the NO zoo. We had the best time. We saw dinosaurs.. yes dinosaurs. Elephants, monkeys, snakes, frogs, alligators (boys favorites) and lots of turtles.. They could have a few more animals but its really a great place. The newest attraction and the most fun was the Cool Zoo, which is... More

I am from the Chicago area and we have two very nice zoos here but I was very impressed with the Audubon Zoo! The grounds were absolutely beautiful and it seemed like we saw the animals at each exhibit! A lot of times animals seem to be out of view or pens are closed, but we felt like we really... More

During a recent conference in New Orleans I visited many of the French Quarter sites. My daughter suggested going to the zoo which was over 6 miles away. We purchased a $3 day bus ticket and headed out. It turned out to be the best time we spent together. The zoo is beautiful and lush with mature trees and foliage.... More

My only problem is the areas are very far apart. The zoo is huge and there is lots to see. I suggest going early and planning to stay the whole day. It has a water park and lots of animal u won't see at the average zoo.

Great zoo al around. Does have some separate attractions that are an additional charge - look it up in advance so you won't be surprised. Well designed, easy to navigate and tons of fun!

The Audubon Zoo was much larger than I expected, it took us all day to go through it. The enclosures were very natural looking and the animals were very close to view. Some animals we couldn't find in the cages. The cafeteria had a nice variety for lunch. The best deal is to get the full experience of the 4... More

Lots to see and a really beautiful zoo. One of the best I've seen for the decor and the atmosphere. Worth every penny!
