Leather seats were very comfortable. Couldn't believe the $14 weekend admission price, though -- seems awful high for NOLA. Reserved seating, food & beverage served by waitstaff.

The main disappointment was the theatre. Visiting from out of town and looking forward to a good movie after a long day of shopping and walking. Im in agreement with the other reviews and be advised no one under 18 is allowed.

Best thing about Canal Place is that it has a parking garage and they used to validate parking tickets. I am just not a browser. I usually have something specific in mind before I venture into a mall or shopping center. It's not usually packed busy so that's nice too.

The overall concept of the theater is nice, but some aspects of it can be distracting. Whereas the Gucci closed, a new store opened in its place called Jean Therapy which carries all brands of designer jeans including Seven, True Religion, Rock and Republic and many others. A souless shopping centre full of the usual generic stores. I love to shop, but this did nothing for me. Try Riverwalk if you need clothing.
