Hop on the Canal Streetcar and check it out. I wish I had more time in New Orleans, because I would have surely spent more time there. Happy Traveling.

We rode the streetcar to city park. It was 90 degrees so the park wasn't appealing to me. We went around 1. U can paddle boat, people watch or go to museum. Also botanical gardens. Museum admission is 10 bucks. I was so hot that u didn't want to do much but it would have been better later in the...

The sculpture garden is beautiful and includes works by famous artists such as Rodin and Oldenburg. It is a must see for locals and tourists alike.
Odd thing is that there were no permanent restroom facilities, only portable ones. A bit rundown and unkempt in some areas.
City park is an amazin gplace to unwind and take some long walks. It is a nice change of pace from the French Quarter and the scenery to and from is awesome. Cable car ride or drive is very pleasnt. they have a great botanical garden and a sculpture garden. Next trip i plan to see the Art museum.
This park is huge, with a great path and lake to walk the dog around. Sculptures and lots to see along the way.
If you are looking for a place to spend a leisurely afternoon in New Orleans look no further than City Park. This huge park has many attractions and is absolutely beautiful. There is Storybook land and a mini train for kids, paddle boats, and the art museum. My favorite thing is the sculpture garden located behind the art museum. It...

Apart from the tourist churn elsewhere, a magnificent sculpture garden amid two-hundred year old live oaks. Many of the great sculptors of the 20th century. Didn't expect this from a town with limited purview. Maybe the limit is within my purview. Museum was closed.
I was not surprised to learn the same person who designed Central Park in NYC also planned City Park in New Orleans. The temperature outside could be 95 and it is cool under the Oaks. The Botanical garden is lovely, the Museum beautiful. Childrens rides are super. I really just adore walking along the bayou.
Nice park that played up the local music and artist scene. Great food, nice folks and lots of sun and rain!
