My friend and I took the New Orleans Rum Distillery tour, and boy were we amazed. The process is so intricate, not to mention the impurities are filtered out of the rum and sent to nail polish factories as ACETONE! We found that to be one of the most interesting points of the tour. Of course you can't leave without... More

Small venue, Interesting process and samples of booze. Guide drank while giving the tour, that just doesn't happen in the North. Staff were very nice. Because it is off the beaten path, tip your cab driver well on the way in and get a cell number to call them direct for the return trip. Otherwise, cabs are in short demand.... More

This is the best way to spend an afternoon. For $10 you can get a lesson on the making of rum and a good 5-10 shots of it for sampling.

When you think of New Orleans, you think of Bourbon Street and all the classic famous drinks... but did you know that they have their own Rum Distillery? This is just outside the french quarter at the end of Frenchman Street. While waiting for the tour to start, you are given their mix of sweet tea & their spiced rum.... More

This is a hidden gem in NOLA. You don't need a car to get there--just call for reservations and you can be picked up at several places at n/c. We were picked up at the French Mkt and that made it easy for tourists. Also, there is a $2 discount ticket at coffee shop near p/up place. Very informative tour... More

Hubby and I found this place and went June 2011. It was a fantastic little tour! We were actually the only ones on it! We had a litle tastings before the tour and again after. The guide took his time explaining everything and answering any questions we have. Can't wait to go back and take our friends!

We just returned from NO and I had read on TripAdvisor this was a good tour. It cost $9 through bookit.com or $10 at the distillery. Bob came to pick us up at Erin Rose, right off of Bourbon, and he also gave us our tour through the distillery. When we walked in Bob gave us all a little Cajun... More

You should absolutely go! It cost 10$ and we've got a tour and a tasting of everything they make. Buy while you can because this product will be much more expensive in the future, I'm sure of it!

The wife and I took this tour because: 1- I like rum, and 2- we had a coupon. So glad we did. We were picked up at the French Market by Bob, who also happened to be our tour guide. He has been with the distillery for quite some time, and was a virutal encyclopedia of distilling knowledge. You get... More

Good historical information on the way to the distiller. Very knowledgeable tour leader who answered all our questions. They picked us up close to our hotel.
