I would hesitate to call this a "museum." It's more like a showcase of vintage Mardi Gras gowns and costumes. Located upstairs from Arnaud's, this showcase can be difficult to find if you do not know where you're going. We had to ask a waiter to help us find it. You have to walk up the stairs, past all of... This really was interesting. You found out all of the background of Mardi Gras and how it got started here in New Orleans. The Costumes are beautiful. It was fun to see what the old "throws" were like.

On the first floor of the museum is a very good collection of pictures and videos about hurricane Katrina and history of the growth of New Orleans that caused it to be below water and hence... More

Located at Arnaud's Restaurant and right in the center of the French Quarter. Try the Sunday jazz brunch and take in the upstairs free museum.
