We went the weekend of 4/30/09-5/3/09 for the Jazz Festival. The initial plan was to go to the Jazzfest but for some reason we did not make it. We ended up at Cafe Lafitte and had an amazing time. By far the best bartender on hand was Aletha. Great with customers and the best wit by far. I cannot wait... more
This bar is a lot of fun! DJ Johnny Love does some of the best mixing in the quarter. more
By far one of the best gay bars in America. If you don't like the drug scene from the twink bars or the leather from the bear bars this bar is just for you. No big fuss at Lafitte's. The bartenders are great at what they do and they are really good to look at too especially Beaumont and Shawn.... more
One of the few bars in town that has a "pour system". All drinks being equal has erased some of the New Orleans charm from this bar. Wasn't the reason people liked coming to New Orleans due to the strong drinks? One block away, the bars still free pour so don't panic. more
