We wandered in here on accident, having found the cover at Snug Harbor too high, and couldn't believe our luck and good fortune in finding this place. The band playing, The Palmetto Bug Stompers, was amazing and fun, and complemented by a group of jitterbuggers who were there to dance. d.b.a. probably has the best beer list we saw in... more

Large choice of beers on tap and huge assortment of bottled beer. Live musicians on stage and the one I saw was actually really good. Only few tourists ever wander that far so the atmosphere is much friendlier than that of Bourbon Street. Cool hangout. more

great music, huge beer selection from all over the world. great window booths to sip drinks in and people watch. one of my favorite places in new orleans! more

This place is great, it's on Frenchman street so it's away from the touristy nonsense of Bourbon (though that's fun too, but in a different way). This seems to be where the locals go... it's real music and a real feel, the drinks are great, the bartenders are friendly. The atmosphere is nice, it's dark and kinda smoky but inviting... more
