The day I was booked for a tour, Jeffrey had taken ill so Mark filled in for him. It ended up being just me and him for a couple of hours and it was great. Mark is enthusiastic but not pedantic. He didn't just blather on from memory - he asked what sorts of things interested me and adapted his... More

Signed up for this tour because of positive reviews on line. Mark was the tour guide and had so many interesting stories about the history of the city. Very informative and enjoyable.

Jeffrey, the tour guide was such an amazing storyteller. He not only tells you the facts about New Orleans, but he makes sure the facts are accurate. He does his research by interviewing those who had first hand knowledge of the events he is telling about. We talked a great deal about the true facts about Katrina. He also tells... More

My husband and I honeymooned in NOLA from Pgh last week. We picked "Strange True Tours" as we're both history buffs and Mark absolutely did not disappoint. Listening to him, you knew that he knew exactly what he was talking about - he was engaging, quite funny, and very hospitable. The tour is not walking heavy, though we did do... More

We did the "Strange True Tour" - starting at 7pm, officially ending at 8:30, but Mark (our guide) was happy to keep talking until hunger got the better of us around 9:15! Highly recommended - as is arriving a few minutes early and enjoying a munchie at Antoine's Annex, the starting point.

City tour was exactly as described. My 17 year old daughter and I made this our first stop for our first visit to NOLA and it was a great value. Booked online and it was $17/pp. I called Jeffrey ahead of time because of the "R" rating and he was right, subject matter was perfectly fine for my daughter to... More

So, I dragged all of my girlfriends to NOLA for my big 40th...er 28th birthday and excitedly planned my dream cemetery tour...so my hobbies are a little odd. I searched tripadvisor, reviewed their top picks, and immediately fell in love with Strange True Tours. We met up with Jeffrey in the middle of a rain storm and because other tourists... More

This tour had great reviews and they were right! We thought Jeffery was very informative and entertaining. Great value!!! He obviously loves what he does. He held my attention for 2 hours...and that's hard to do. It has adult content but not over the top. Did I say I loved this tour?

Would highly recommend this tour for its smaller size group, content of info (very ironic), and length of about 1 hr 40 mins. The Guide and owner Jeffrey does an amazing job of describing the history of new Orleans while walking the French quarter. Fun and learned ALot. Only $20!!

My group took the Strange True Tour. I had read all the fantastic reviews for this tour and we were very excited about it. Unfortunately the great reviews all seem to be for Jeffery but he was not our guide. It really takes a certain skill to keep history interesting and compelling. Knowledge alone is not enough. My whole group... More

We are first terribly sorry this happened and we are still trying to figure out what occurred as this behavior is unlike our 2 backup guides. Both guides have been hand selected by Jeffrey himself for both their wealth of knowledge and their outgoing personalities. We are particularly puzzled by the 2nd line incident as both guides are normally the... More
