All ages mix here to dance and have fun. We went on zydeco night and it was great fun. Very clean. Bowling and music seem to mix very well

Sometimes you just feel a bit ashamed for being a local and having a good time....but that feeling is gone after a few seconds. Unique places are totally unexpected when they fuse elements that don't seem to logically fit. Many years ago Mid City Lanes was one of those places. It was only frequented by the fading members of the... More

My husband and I went for a little date. People were nice and you paid per hour. That was a little strange that it cuts your game off after the hour. Nice place though. If you are really looking for a party atmosphere I suggest going at night. It seemed a little scary on the outside, but once you get... More

I can't tell you how much I love this place. I loved the old place and like the new one even better. Hats off to John! Best music, can get as close to the stage as you want, even when it's crowded. Have always admired how John treated the musicians who played there. When Snooks was alive, he walked him... More

Had always heard of this place and loaded up the crew on our next to last night in NOLA in a cab and headed to Rock-n-Bowl to see Kermit Ruffins, we were leaving BMC in the Marigny. Great place and Kermit was on stage when we arrived. The lanes were full and 3 hour waiting list but we came to... More

Even though we'd lived in the city at one time this was our first visit to Rock n Bowl. It was a fundraiser featuring music from a plethora of local legends. My husband, m-i-l and I had a wonderful time.

On our trip for JazzFest this year, we purchased a "weekend" pass for Rock n Bowl. We went Wednesday night for Zydeco Night...great music and lots of dancing. We also went Friday night for Amanda Shaw and Sonny Landreth, who we had seen the first weekend of JazzFest. This was a terrific experience...very intimate and up-close to the performers. We... More

We have been attending there Thursday night zydeco shows for the 2nd weekend of JazzFest for years. Great place to bowl, nice drink prices (shocking for a New Yorker) and a nice new restaurant with good food.
