We took a city-cemetery tour in mid-May and had a great time. Our guide was Noah and he truely knows his stuff! He made it so much more special because he grew up there so added those extra little personal snippets of info. Picked us up at our hotel and then offered to drop everyone off wherever they liked and... More

Although the entire process (shuttle bus, ticket line, tour grouping) seemed a bit unorganized, once you got on the bayou, you felt like you a world away. We had a great guide (Bishop) who really made the tour. Great stories and a genuine love and pride of his home state. Great break from Bourbon Steeet...

Out of all the city tours, this company does it best, they take time to answer questions, and stop for photo ops. I took their city & cemetery tour mid afternoon, & it was such a pleasant way to see so many areas of the city on a nice small air conditioned tour bus. We saw about 7 different areas... More

We were very disappointed in our tour, it was advertised as three hours but by the time we had collected everyone and then paid at the office, the actual tour length was only two hours. The tour consisted of a whistle stop tour of the French Quarter, driven at high speed, a trip to district 6 to view the hurricane... More

Overall, I really liked the tour and our guide, Mike. Mike is super nice, informative and entertaining. The transportation to and from was less than desirable, though. I would find another way to get there in the future. On our bus ride there, one of the seats was wet and an elderly woman stood until one of the other passengers... More

We booked Cajun Encounters for a swamp tour only with hotel pickup. The shuttle came to pick us up about 8:30 a.m. (they tell you to wait at the hotel between 8 and 8:30 a.m.). The driver was nice enough, gave us some information about the Hurricane Katrina damage as we were passing by some of the affected areas. There... More

Just returned from New Orleans. While there we did three tours in two days with Canjun Encounters. The first day was the Plantation Tours. If your interested in taking a peek into walk these sugar cane plantations were like, you will enjoy this tour. The second day we did a combination of the City Tour and Swap Tour. The city... More

We had an excellent time. We got to experience the swamp and hold a baby alligator named Budweiser. Our Captain, Troy, was knowledgeable and funny. Will definitely do it again.

You never really know how these tours are going to go - a bunch of people crammed on a bus, shuttled like cattle. This tour was a DELIGHT! The bust trip out to the swamp was entertaining and informational. Our driver pointed out the sights, including the neighborhoods devestated by Katrina. It was very enlightening on the rebuilding process. Once... More

Took the swamp tour and it was fantastic. The boat was great, the guide fun and knowledgeable. The swamp is a gorgeous place filled with amazing wildlife. The guide brought marshmallows and fed the gators right from the boat. Highly recommend this for adults and kids alike.
