The drinks were good and priced well, the staff friendly and the fellow patrons even friendlier. The Spotted Cat is small and dimly lit with reds and small lamps. The music was nice - a great detour on Frenchmen Street. more

For outstanding jazz, great atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks and well behaved patrons, you can't go wrong with the Spotted Cat Cocktail Lounge on Frenchmen St. On my last trip to New Orleans, we came here 2 nights to see VaVaVoom and The Jazz Vipers. We went to The Spotted Cat several times on a visit to New Orleans in April 2003.
