As we sprinted out to our bus, the heavens opened and it only got worse as we boarded our Katrina tour bus. Our 3 hour trip brought us up close to the levee breaks, points of refuge, and neighborhoods devastated by the hurricane. The driver was full of dramatic commentary as he had been contracted to aid in the evacuation... More

My husband and I were scheduled for a city/swamp tour with another company but wanted to do a tour specifically centered around Hurricane Katrina. The tour was ok but the audio system was garbled and it was very difficult to understand what the tour guide was saying. I would expect better for what we paid. We took another tour two... More

We were taken on a city tour which included a tour of the 9th Ward where Katrina did the most damage. So much devastation still shows, however, it appears that Brad Pitt is making remarkable progress toward rebuilding homes, with an architectural flair I have neer seen before. Mr. Pitt should be highly acknowledged for his endeavors. Touring the many... More

We were very glad we went on the Gray Line Hurricane Katrina tour, as a way to see the city and to understand the effects of Katrina, both in 2005 and now, six years later. Our tour guide was not only a local, from the Ninth Ward, with family in various other affected neighborhoods, but she participated in the city's... More

This tour was a sobering reminder of the power of Katrina. We were taken to the places previously seen in newsreels and saw the remains of the devastation and the attempts to rebuild homes and lives. Our driver was the most incredible man. In his quiet way he brought alive those days of flooding, something he lived through, He insights... More

We took this tour about a year after Katrina and it was really interesting (and sad). It was about 4 hours long, and you get to stop at several places so it's also a good way to see other parts of the city that you wouldn't normally see.

Our tour guide was very good. We saw so much devastation and he explained everything so clearly. There was a 20 minute break an hour through the tour that I feel we could have gone without. We stopped at city park, which was nice, we walked through a sculpture garden. But that is not what we paid for! Went through... More

Very interesting to hear how the flooding occurred and what has been done to minimize that level of devastation from happening again. You can't help imagining the horror that the people of NOLA felt. Time well spent.

Best tour we had in NOLA. Sylvester could be giving a seminar on post-catastophe economics. Very interesting guide. The Graylines city tour is a miss. For a free walking tour take the St Charles trolley and walk around the old houses in the Garden district. Get off at Washington Ave .
