Was in NOLA back in March for a conference with a bunch of friends. We quickly learned that Bourbon was overrated and wanted to find out where the rest of the good local spots were. “First and Last Stop in NOLA”

I love the laid-back, dingy awesomeness that is Checkpoint Charlie's. You can come here for a strong drink, get a burger and do some laundry all for abound $10. I've made a tradition of starting every trip to Nola at Charlie's with a shot, as it's usually easy to find something to go and see or do straight from there.... More

During our visit to New Orleans we stayed at the amazing La Maison Marigny B & B in the Marigny neighborhood adjacent tot he French Quarter. The Marigny neighborhood is great, full of interesting clubs and great restaurants.
