Our family visited Seward for a few days out of our 12 day Alaska trip. Our 2 teens ages 16 and 18 wanted to do an ice climb or hike so I set up the hike with Exit Glacier Guides and this was their favorite thing they did the entire trip. Its quite a physical workout hiking up to where... more

The glacier hike with Exit Glacier Guides was a wonderful way to see the glacier, away from the crowds and other tourists. Brendan was professional, informative, and had a huge arsenal of corny (but still funny) jokes. The view was amazing, and two black bear sightings made for an amazing experience. They warned us that it was not the easiest... more

What a trip!! Our family of 4 - including 2 teenagers - hiked with Exit Glacier Guides and it was marvelous. It's a strenuous trip but more than worth the effort. Our group walked fairly quickly up so we had lots of time on the glacier. It was enchanting!! Thanks Ryan and Cody!! more

What an amazing way to see a glacier up close. It's a beautiful hike to the glacier. Truly a once in a life time experience. We were a bit nervous as that we wanted to include our boys (aged 12 and 15) and none of us had ever used crampons. Our guide Ryan was incredibly knowledgeable and always had our... more

This trip is always a must when we travel to Seward. There is no other experience that compares to walking on this glacier. Ryan is an excellent guide that always provides us with great information and a good laugh. Whenever people ask for travel advice regarding Seward I encourage them to book a trip with the Exit Glacier Guides. more

Thanks to everyone who hiked and rode with us in 2008! It was a great season for us and we had a blast with all of you on the ice. For the 2009 season, we're excited to have all of our guides from last season returning (along with their bad jokes) and we are adding a few new, rosy-cheeked and...

We went kayaking, we did the glacier cruises, we biked around Girdwood, but this glacier hike was, by far, the best part of our trip to Alaska. The hike had unbelievable views. You got to experience a glacier up close. And we were the only ones out hiking on it, so you had the incredible feeling of being out in... more

My partner and I signed up for an ice climbing trek with this company. We were not disappointed. Our trip to Alaska also included both an Ailiak Bay kayaking trip and a helicopter ride to mush on a glacier, but the best experience was the ice climb. We had been ice climbing once before on a frozen waterfall in Montreal,... more

If you are in Seward without a vehicle, Exit Glacier guides is a great way to cheaply get to and from the Exit glacier. They offer a $10 shuttle (you really don't need a $50 tour) which covers the round trip journey. Once you get there, you can explore on your own. Note -- in the busy season, you need... more
