Two years after our last trip to Alaska, we went back to see some more. And we did! Definitely one of the highlights of this years trip was the boat ride with Alaska Saltwater Lodge - Small Group Tour. It was only us with another couple on the boat. Compared to a previous tour at Valdez the sea life and... more

We had a lot of fun and a wonderful day. The captain was very friendly and gave us a lot of information. Lunch was great in front of the Aialik Glacier. We saw various wildlife like seals, sea otters, puffins and of course whales. more

We (Me my wife and 13 year old son, went to Seward on Aug 5th and took the Small Whale watching tour on the 6th. it starded off cold but was sunny and worm for the second half of the voyage. They are billed as the small, flexable tour and there are definatly some things that were great, getting to... more

This was one of our favorite activities during our trip to Alaska. There were six people on our tour, four of whom were in our group. Talk about a personal experience! Our captain was knowledgeable, full of charm, and a pleasure to spend that day with. The boat was comfortable, and lunch was good. We saw tons of wildlife (the... more

On 6/16/2009 my family ( Wife, two daughters and their husbands, 3 grandkids-age 8,5,4) took a tour/fishing trip with Captain Jim Barkley of the Alaska Saltwater Lodge. The trip starts at 8am back around 4pm. We were worried the kids might get bored-Boy were we wrong. First we saw a sea otter playing then several Humpback whales. Then we stopped... more

Our combo/wildlife boat trip on June 18, 2009 with Alaska Salt Water Lodge was terrific. Our family of five (me, hubby, son 21, son 19 and daughter 17) were the only guests on the boat. Our kids had a great time and I'm sure it'll be a trip we'll remember for a lifetime. Our captain Stan was fantastic. A 28... more

Our Sightsdeeing/Fishing Combo tour on Stellar Express was the highlight of our trip to Alaska! This all-day trip is the BEST way to see the sights of Kenai National Park while also catching alot of fish! The crew was knowledgable and made our day on the water very special. You basically do whatever you want and there are alot of... more

Got a Gore-tex jacket and a waterproof hat and a fleece vest and binoculars? This trip is for you. If you prefer sightseeing with a martini and a silk scarf, not so much. This is a smaller boat with a crew of two. It's a little slower, but we've got all day, who's in a rush? We saw all kinds... more

We spent 4 days in Seward at the end of July and this was one of the activities we selected for our Seward Adventure. I tend to gravitate towards smaller tours that are more intimate and local as opposed to touristy. Overall I was pleased with this tour, the captain and deck hand were friendly and knowledgeable and the boat... more

We took the Saltwater Charter to see the Glacier at the Harding Ice Fields. It was really nice. The boat leaves the Seward Harbor and travels to the glacier where you stop for lunch. We got to see the glacier calving and our captain and cabin girl were great. They kept their eyes open and the communication with other boats... more
