Since 1923, The Days of '98 show has stupefied and bedazzled audiences with the tale of Jefferson Randolph "Soapy" Smith, Alaska's most notorious outlaw. Soapy reigned over Skagway during the wildest days of the Klondike Gold Rush, and this colorful vaudevillian musical recounts his incredible life and dramatic demise! With can-can dancers, ragtime music, riotous humor, and the great con-man himself, Soapy Smith, this show is a treat for the whole family! « less

Enter the 1998 hall to music, dance gals and tables. No it is not real gambling - its play money with a chance to win a small prize during the show. Everyone can take part, have fun and not lose their hard earned money. The show is great - funny and enjoyable with a touch of the gold rush history.... More

We visited this museum on a whim, being tired of visiting jewelery stores and souvenir shops. What a delight it was. The show was very professionally done with great acting, dancing and singing. A great way to learn some of the history of Skagway and the gold rush times. I would recommend it to young and old alike.
