We were incorporating a home school unit study on the Ocean and Pacific Sea Life with our trip to WA this year, so a visit to the Seattle Aquarium was a must. Our three girls loved it, even the littlest one at 19 months old. It was a bit expensive though, for our family. The Good: The favorite attractions for... More

Not as good as aquariums in Oregon, Vancouver or even Point Defiance, but good for a rainy day and very convenient to Pike Place Market.

I'd been years ago and thought I would go again. The price is steep, but in line with aquaria around the country. But it just has not kept pace with others. The new giant display at the entrance is certainly impressive and the foot-thick glass is fun. But the displays seem a little dingy and do not highlight the fish... More

We really enjoyed our trip to the Aquarium - though try to plan your visit when there are NOT school trips....it was very noisy with all the kids running everywhere.

A small, nice place but nothing spectacular. Of course, we are from Monterey, the mother of all Aquariums so it's difficult to compare.

This was my first visit to an aquarium, so I guess I had built up my expectations. Overall, it was a neat experience but not something that I would pay to do again. There is one part of the exhibit where visitors can roll up their sleeves and touch the sea anemones. Other than that, though, it is not super... More

This is a nice aquarium with the requisite tropical fish. Lots of touch pools for the kids. Liked the 2 giant squid. In the outdoor area there were birds (including puffins), seals, and otters. Oriented to the Northwest and particularly Pugent Sound. A great place to take the kids, but it can get over run pretty easily. I thought it... More

this is your typical aquarium that is completely overrun with little kids. it may be nice to visit if you live nearby but if your traveling for a short amount of time you may want to skip it.

This is a very manageable aquarium for children; lots of kid-friendly exhibits and a few where they can touch starfish. Sea otters and seals are fun and there's an astonishing octopus. Not a whole lot more of note: many tanks with pretty fish, lots of info on Seattle harbor.
