A wonderful museum as part of our Normandy trip D-Day trip. Well thought out in layout and a wealth of information provided. 2 hours well spent! Excellent for kids as well.

A great museum very well put together and curated. See the movie. It puts everything in perspective and is a great introduction for your visit. Get a clicker for a great memento.

As we were on a tight schedule we only had about 45 minutes here. There was much to see and we could have easily spent more time. Make sure to take a picture with the church in the background.

My husband and I thought this was the best of the many D-Day museums we visited during our recent Normandy vacation. The focus is on the US paratroopers -- 81st and 101st Airborne Divisions -- who fought in the areas behind Utah Beach. Several impressive full-size exhibits -- including actual glider, tank, and other large equipment. Lots of personal items... More

This is a brilliant museum which combines military history with human stories - the men who made this exceptional journey, whether they survived the war or sacrificed their lives for it, are suddenly real to us. And if we are ever to stop wars from happening again ( some hope... ), we need to recognise that they involve REAL PEOPLE.... More

The invasion beaches offer any number of museums and visitor centers. In my mind, the Musee Airborne is one of the best. Authentic artifacts, weapons, uniforms, and equipment are displayed in real settings. There's even a C-47! I last visited the museum in 1992, and it hasn't missed a step in two decades. Oh, the other two essential museums? Le... More

More like a collection of memorabilia than a well layed-out museum. Small in size, so easy to see in an hour or so. Video presentation was best part. About 7 euros pp.

for any one visiting the D Day battlefields the Airborne Museum at St Mere Eglise is well worth the visit. The Museum is visitor friendly, and gives a very good overview of the American contribution to the success of Op Overlord. Easy access for the disabled. The various exhibits are very good although the maniquins showed the Americans to be... More
