If you want to learn about D-Day, you have come to the right place. Ellwood's extensive research and personal contacts with the military personnel involved make him an unusually competent expert on D-Day -- not only the public part of the history but also the behind-the-scenes stories that help you understand what really happened -- and why. Ellwood's knowledge, enthusiasm... More

My wife and I took the train from Paris to Carentan on April 16, 2010 to take a tour of the battle fields of D-Day. In Carentan, we were met by Allan Bryson, our tour guide, who drove us to the start of the tour and where we would meet the rest of our group in Sainte Mere Eglise. As... More

We just returned from a 3 day visit to Normandy. The highlight of our trip was the day spent with Ellwood. It was an amazing experience and one that we will never forget. Ellwood is passionate and knowledgeable and a great teacher. Some of the tour participants had done a lot of reading and studying of WWII and others had... More

It took us 3 years to save for a trip to the Normandy battlefields. After seeing Ellwood von Seibold's films on public television, we decided that we had to book him, and his D-Day tour exceeded our wildest expectations. After an exciting and informative briefing in his home we set off on what to us was a magical tour. Down... More

This tour was to fulfill a long dream of seeing the sites of which I was fascinated with and hearing stories of those who sacrificed so much for our country and those who endured the occupation of a heinous tyrant. Ellwood's knowledge was indeed profound. , however I didn't care for his drill sargent mentality. Granted you know you are... More

Our extremely knowledgeable tour guide / host, Ellwood, picked us up at the train station, welcomed us to the town of Sainte-Mere-Eglise and into his historic home, and provided an exciting and fast paced learning experience. We spent a little time in the US Airborne Museum and visited the church (Sainte-Mere-Eglise) portrayed in the movie, The Longest Day. We were... More

What an amazing day! My boyfriend (a big military history buff) and I spent 10 days in London and then France and this was by far the highlight of our trip. Ellwood is so captivating and really brought the entire DDay invasion to life. His personal stories and reflections were so descriptive, you could picture everything happening before your eyes.... My family of 11 recently toured the American beaches on an 8.5 hour tour with Ellwood. Quite simply, Ellwood's explanations are interesting and he does a good job of describing the details of D-Day with great clarity. The ages of my group ranged from 18 - 75 ---every one in the group stayed focused and in tune. The 8.5 hours... More
