What a surprise - we'd seen so many wheeled dog sled rides offerings along the way, decided to stop by the headquarters and were delighted - the headquarters/gift shop was run by nice people, they have the REAL (stuffed) Balto/Togo, the video they offer (free) was educational and interesting, the $10/person sled ride was best we'd seen - and staffed... more

A life long ambition to see the start of the Iditarod Trail Dog Sled Race was, in reality, even better than I had hoped for by going with Cabela Holidays. They are one of the race's official sponsors, and as such you have VIP access behind the scenes at both the ceremonial and official starts and top class tables at... more
