We did the power plant tour ($11), we were too cheap for the $30 tour. It was really neat. Our guide was entertaining and it was interesting to learn about this engineering marvel. kinda gave you that "proud to be an American" feel. This place is an incredible feat of engineeering and a must see. The only tip I can offer is to park on the Arizona side of the bridge over the dam. We arrived about 45 minutes before the area opened where you get your tickets for the Dam tour. Prepare to queue in the busy seasons! Whilst underground, all groups of visitors are herded around the dam, visiting 2 areas (the generator room and on top of a water carrying pipe). It is a must do attraction, but the inside isn't as interesting as I thought it might be! more
