this place was huge, it was interesting to hear the history of the consturction, and how it was made. you can also be in two different time zones, nevada and arizona!

Engineering at it's best! I took the short tour, but felt this was possibly long enough, lots of info from a couple of old guys!

Tough to rate such a engineering marvel which was obviously not designed to attract tourist. Quite an impressive construction indeed, and the new overpass alone is worth a photo. The Hoover Dam is an amazing site. This is definitely worth a side trip if you are in Vegas. Would recommend the new Pat Tillman bridge overlooking the Hoover Dam as well. There is a parking lot about a mile before you reach Hoover Dam and then a short walk up to the bridge. Enjoy!

Short drive from Vegas. To enjoy the view you got to see the Dam from the bridge opposite. It gets hot out there so do take some water. After walking the bridge and the Dam and taking the obligatory photos you can be done in under an hour. Glad we took the time to see the sheer size of it.
