This village is home to myriad antique stores, and its sprawliing Sunday market features their merchandise and much, much more. While it might take some haggling, there are bargains galore, plus the usual cadre of food vendors who can stock your larder with great stuff. Parking can be problematic, so count on walking a bit to get there from your... More

We made a point of visiting l'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue for its weekend antiques market and were disappointed by the small number of dealers. I had the impression it was a large number of tourists chasing quite a small number of antiques. We also browsed in some of the antique shops and found the variety and quality to be much better there. L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue... More

We stayed in town for two weeks and shopped at the market each Sunday to stock our kitchen. Everything was fresh and of good quality. Best were the Scottish smoked salmon and ham from a very friendly butcher. We didn't mind waiting half an hour to be served. He kept giving us samples to keep us from being bored. One... More

A big market with lots to see and buy. It is in a picturesque setting. parking is available but usually you have a 5 min. Walk to the market from the larger parking areas.

Everytime i think of this little quaint town, I have this longing to go back. Like my review of Vaison La Romaine, we also discovered this little beauty by accident. Our Provence trip was geared around following the different markets in each day in each town. This was the best way for us to see the towns. There's actually a... More

I agree with most of the previous posts, so will instead add a few more thoughts. Market day for food, etc., is Thursday and Sunday. The food is excellent as this area is well known in France for fruit and vegetables, etc. The people are friendly and the prices right. It is crowded but not annoying. The village is one... More

L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is the flea market of all flea markets. It is intense and loaded with interesting vendors. One has to be careful about what is worth buying and then by all means "bargain" for the best price. Don't be afraid to walk away if you think the price is too high.

Had heard many favourable comments on this market but try to avoid it at the weekend. Of course, that is when most of the marketeer area round but the crowds were disappointing. Shopping was excellent As was the rest of the town. I admire Isle Sur La Sorgue. It is a town with an excellent festival of the fishers in... More
