The Heartland of America Park and the path over the Pedestrian bridge make for a very scenic jog. I was impressed by what a nice area this has become.

You need to walk on this bridge if you're ever in Omaha, Nebraska. It's BEAUTIFUL. It's built over the Missouri River, and it connects Nebraska to Iowa! So you'll get to visit TWO states if you walk all the way to end!! As you walk, there are plaques explaning various historical events in Nebraska, and a LINE in the middle...

The bridge is in a great area and gave us a nice place to walk. It didn't hurt that the weather was perfect, but the view was great and everyone there seemed to be having a good time enjoying the great outdoors.
The bridge has a fantastic view of the Missiouri River seperating Iowa and Nebraska.

The area where the bridge is was very maintained. Very neat structure. The bridge does move...
This bridge is a beautiful place for a view of the Missouri River. It is very pretty when it is lit up at night. The green space on the Omaha side is wonderful. The bridge connects Omaha, Nebraska with Council Bluffs, Iowa.
My wait was worth it. The bridge really is a wonderful example of art and community coming together. Daytime is good, but you can also see it at night because the lighting is spectacular.
Everyone should visit "the Bob" and walk at least to the middle where you can have one foot in Nebraska and one foot in Iowa. A windy day is not the best time to do this, however.
This is a gem...a gorgeous bridge that is open not only to pedestrians but bicycles, rollerblades, and skateboards. I wanted to see this bridge both because it sounded great and also because I remembered how much time and effort Senator Bob Kerrey put into getting this area cleaned up and usable by the residents and visitors. It did not disappoint....
