I'm no history buff, but I swear when you visit this place you can almost see the battle before your eyes. Not all history is glamorous, but it is worth learning about and it always impacts me more when I see it for myself.

This is one powerful place. First check into the visitors center for a film on the battle and when you can listen to a park ranger talk. The rangers here are outstanding and will give you a riveting account of what took place here. Be sure to take the drive out into the battlefield and read all the historical markers....

Being a military history buff, I had wanted to visit LBH for many years as I had read many of the books. I finally had the opportunity this year when visiting Yellowstone - it's not the easiest place to get to from where I live on Vancouver Island. The park fully met my expectations - perhaps the most evocative place...

The battleground is just a very short distance off the Interstate and is well worth a visit. There is an entrance fee to get in however no charge for parking. You can drive several miles into the area where the battles first took place. Take your own vehicle and not one of the buses. You will see a spectacular view...

When we planned our trip west my husband was happy with my choices of destinations. He did have one request and that was to visit this memorial. From the moment we stepped out of our car we felt the silence. That is the closest to the true feeling that I can find to describe this monument. Our Ranger Guide is...

I loved the battlefield. It was a moving experience to actually walk the place where so many died. The National Park Service does an excellent job providing an accurate overview of the action. We took a bus tour provided by the Crow tribe, which was informative and worth it for $8 but the best part was just getting out and...

Fantastic experience. We arrived at 2:00 pm and caught the Ranger walking tour up to Last Stand Hill. Very informative while also capturing insight to both sides of the conflict. The outstanding segment however was the Ranger presentation at 3:00 on the back porch. With a packed crowd, we all sat spellbound as history came alive in one of the...

Our boys have yet to learn about this battle (only age 10 and 11) in school. I think that after visiting this place it will give more meaning to what they will be taught in school. Everyone enjoyed it. :)
I barely remembered "Custer's last stand" from history class. The presentation by the ranger as well as the video were very well done and really help one to understand this battle. We were there in the late afternoon and had to sit on the floor for the video because the 20 or so seats were taken. There was more room...

My entire life I have been fascinated by Indian history. I have read all the books, done the research, etc. It had always been a dream to be able to visit the Battle of Little Bighorn site. Last Sept I finally had that opportunity. I was not disappointed! It was a LOT larger area than I had envisioned. The markers...
