Apart from the Pope's balcony blessing in summer sundays, this little town overlooking the lake is very pleasant and has some very good trattorias.

In reality there isnt really a lot to do besides eat and drink. There are some nice little shops the sell handmade mosacis and tourist stuff but even though there is not a lot of "entertainment" it is pretty and very relaxing to visit and see the Popes summer house and the pretty church in the centre.

Its a small pedestrian town with rather expensive amenities and souvenir shops. Difficult to find but quite pretty.

This was a great relaxing day during our trip to rome. Great views and charming town. Eat at Lo Spuntino near the top of the main street for a great meal.

We where taken from Castel Gandolfo straight from the airport and I reccomend going Catholics because this is where the popes summer house is but it is good for any other person relgion or no religion.
