Having visited three other vineyards in the Hill Country this weekend with our small dog in tow this vineyard provided the only negative experience. We were greeted at all the other vineyards' outdoor patios with typical Texas hospitality, a water dish for the dog (sometimes a treat too) and some decent wine in a developing region. The Texas Hills Vineyard... More

A great little winery that is definitely worth a visit if you’re exploring wineries in the Texas Hill Country! Friendly and knowledgeable staff in the cozy tasting room who could share not only about Texas Hill Vineyard wines but also about local terroir and grape growing and wine making in Texas overall. The added bonus was these were good wines,... More

This vineyard is a little off the well traveled 290 Vineyard Trail, but please don't pass it by just because it is not right on 290. The people, wine AND port is top notich.

Texas Hills is nice because they carry estate wines, meaning the vines are on site and the wine is made and bottled on site. You can see the vineyards when you pull up, adding to the ambiance. In the past few years they have renovated part of the tasting building into a nice, large patio and they have other picnic... More

Gary and his employees are the best. Period. This is not the largest or most expensive or most well known winery in this area. And it is a little out of the way compared to all the winerys that sit right on 290. But they are the most friendly and the most knowledgeable. Plus they have good wine. So if... More

We've been meaning to come here for some time. Too bad we waited so long. This was a wonderful winery. The pourers were so nice and friendly, the wines were very good and reasonably priced, and we received a discount for purchasing 6 bottles. Yes, lots to choose from. And they had complimentary tasting of their regular wines (the premiums... More

My husband and I visited Texas Hills Vineyard February 7th as part of the Valentines wine trail. The winery itself is lovely and we fell in love with some of the wines here (Kick Butt Cab and Orange Moscata) but what makes Texas Hills Vineyard stand out in our minds is the people. We are novices to the wine world... More
