On our way to Williamsburg, we chose the Children's Museum of Richmond as an afternoon stopover for our road-weary 4-year old son. Had we known how much he would love the place, we probably would have geared more of the day around the museum. After nearly 3-hours of hands-on imaginative activities, he was no where near tiring of the place... more

I take my son (who is almost 6) there about 2 times a year. He has always loved it and although it is quite busy in the AM, it clears out a bit around lunch time. Speaking about lunch, do not go to the McDonalds that is next to it. It is tempting, but don't do it. Service is poor,... more

This museum was a lifesaver for me! After being on the road for 2 days with my 8 month old who wants to crawl everywhere, he was ready for somewhere to play. I got tired of telling him no in hotel rooms, but this place has special areas just for kids his age and he crawled and played all afternoon.... more
