This historical park is absolutely the best. There is so much to see. Plan on staying for quite a while. The museum is huge and there are other buildings to see. If you want to learn more about the Civil War, this is a must see. You will enjoy it!

This is an amazing museum, not actually in, but further South than Richmond. Best civil war museum there is! Great demonstrations and good for kids!
Went with my son on a class field trip. Educational and historically accurate.
This is a creatively designed museum, really making you feel like you know what the Civil War/Petersburg trenches were like. Evocative, educational. My mother is a reenactor who usually has to drag us to civil war sites. This was one living history/active exploration museum I would actually return to, and have, without her urging. portrays how the soldiers, slaves, people lived during the civil war. also more earthworks displayed. to me it wasnt worth what we payed to see but it was history and they need to support it somehow.
A sophisticated and well maintained museum with headphone narration both inside and outside. Very well thought out with creative and interesting high-tech interactive displays. Select a soldier, confederate or union, and follow his progress through the war. Outside you get the idea of what it was like to live in the antebellum south. There are forest trails through preserved Civil...

You have GOT to go to this Civil War attraction! It's got a horrible name, which is why no one ever hears of it. What's a Dinwiddie? It's the closest town. What's a Pamplin? He's the business leader (Georgia-Pacific) after whom it is named. Get past all that and come see a world-class museum, with a state-of-the-art, laser activated headphone...
