Its landscaping replicates the natural habitats of the numerous animals, some of which are endangered species. Two panda bears from China delight the crowds, and groups of gorillas separated by moats do their own share of entertaining. « less

When compare to other zoos, the Zoo Atlanta is an average zoo with 4 pandas. The price of the admission is also similar to other similar zoos. It seems to me that it is a little larger than DC's zoo. The pandas and the apes are good. The panda cubs are open to the public and the keeper was nice.... more

My husband and I loved this zoo. We had read mixed reviews, but I could not miss the opportunity to see the pandas...specifically the babies! I don't know what some of the people on here are talking about. I thought that the zoo was very nice and well kept. The staff were very friendly, specifically those who had animals out.... more

Prior to our trip, we hadn't heard much about the zoo in Atlanta. We were very pleasantly surprised. The ape exhibit was world class, and the panda exhibit was better (in my opinion) than the San Diego Zoo. There are plans for improvements, which is good, but we had a fun time there and would recommend this zoo. more

I've been to 11 or 12 other zoo's and had a great time, Not at this one. Got wrong information about hours and memberships prices over phone prior to going. Had to pay full amount as they didn't honor memberships. Over priced for what zoo is. Exhibits closed with no signs. Not a very well kept park. Some animals didn't... more

The plants are gorgeous and placed by there horticultural department. The exhibits and ease of parking as well as the mostly flat terrain make this a nice day. There are some eateries here but they are way over priced and of poor quality food. No refills on beverages and for kids and elderly people, well, there is just no excuse... more

I thought the admission to the zoo was a little expensive $18 for what they had. They did have a baby panda which was adorable. The gorilla and orangutan exhibits were nicely done and allowed the animals plenty of room to play and pose for pictures. more

I'm a real zoo fanatic but more often than not animals seem to be asleep or hiding somewhere. BUT, this day all the animals were up and moving about. We probably got there around 10 and it seemed that for many of the animals it was feeding time. The pandas were out and eating; elephants out and eating; one elephant... more

I've told friend that the Portland Zoo was to gold standard for all other to attain. Zoo Atlanta is great place and is giving the PDX zoo a run for their money. The layout was great, I could have spent all day. They need to work on their maps, a little vague. I was impressed. We became members after our... more

We visited Zoo Atlanta on Monday, March 27, a pleasant sunny day. Most visitors to this zoo want to see the giant pandas, and that was our foremost goal. The exhibit did not disappoint. The zoo has created a habitat that allows visitors close viewing but ensures the comfort and safety of the animals. Zoo staff were always nearby to... more
