After visiting the Aquarium, our hosts took us to Centennial Olympic Park. We enjoyed walking through the park, seeing the fountain of Olympic rings (which several girls were running through), the statue dedicated to the modern founder of the Olympics, Pierre de Coubertin as well as finding our friends brick. I have always loved the Olympics and took the opportunity to stop and see the Olympic park. This park was absolutely beautiful. I'm not sure why one of the reviewer's would say the park is not a great tourist area. First of all, the park is in the middle of downtown Atlanta and it's lovely. It is a great park to hang out and relax in, maybe to have a picnic in or take the kids to. The ring fountains are fun, especially on a hot day. But as for things to do for tourists, it doesn't have much to do. The CNN Center is near by but that is about it. more
