We spent some time here walking around and the neighborhood feels like one that was probably good at one time, went downhill and is now on the upswing again. This is a great, little eclectic community. Sure, the people who frequent this area are either tatooed bikers, underage gothic kids, and highschool "shudder to think" types but it is still worth a visit. L5P as the locals call it, is a wonderful section of town, over 120 independent small businesses. It hosts one of the world's only, and certainly the best, Halloween Parade and festival. When I read the other review on here, I was hesitant to go to L5P (which, by the way, is not near Five Points itself in Downtown Atlanta, it's about 5-10 miles to the east).
