Went to see the Ghost Brothers of Darkland County. The show was great and the theatre is wonderful.

Found the premier of the Stephen King, John Mellencamp and TBone Burnett collaboration of “Ghost Brothers of Darkland County” to be fascinating with many scenes haunting me---in a good way. If you live in Atlanta, do not miss the final week at the Alliance! Contrary to the writings of a few NY critics, I loved the special effects and thought... More

Please stay away. Paid $500 for 5 front row seats Saturday and everybody who came left with a feeling that S.King just took our cash. The story was something a 4th grader would come up with, the acting was perhaps the worst I have seen since my high school play. The music was ok. Stay away. Most of these reviews... More

Tickets purchased as soon as they went on sale + months of wait + hours of travel + expense of ATL = a pricelessly good time! This show is BRILLIANT. Leave any theater snob mentality behind and come as you are for an experience you probably don't expect. This is a "musical" written by men for adults - my husband... More

I drove from Tampa Florida to see this musical and it was worth the 8 hour drive and the 12 year wait to bring this idea to reality. The audio and visual effects are stunning and I was mesmerized the entire performance. I have always enjoyed King's work from a young age, and he knows how to tell a story... More

Went to see this musical premiering at the Alliance this month, and the theater is terrific and the performance excellent. Housed in the Woodruff Arts Center in Mid-Town, it's convenient to both theater and symphony concerts, along with the High Museum for art....there's a lot to enjoy.

I'm floored. Everything about it was awesome. The story, the cast, the music is legendary, the backdrop, staging, lighting is AMAZING. This is not "Broadway Musical" stuff. Best stage production I've ever been too. 10 years in the making, when Mellencamp, Steven King, and T-Bone come together you can't go wrong. After the show we sat for a meet and... More

While some plays are better than others, more are worse. Too many gratuitous shocking/depressing/disgusting themes. If you like decadence (and it seems many people do) you'll like these performances. Actors and actresses are first rate, though.

We drove 6 hours from Indiana to see The Ghost Brothers of Darkland County and were not disappointed!! The play was great, the actors were great and the music was outstanding. The staff was wonderful to deal with and the theater was beautiful. As an added bonus I ran into John Mellencamp and Meg Ryan in the lobby at the... More
