We visited the Out of Africa park not long after it first opened at it's Camp Verde location, before the Tiger Splash was completed. I had very much the opposite experience of a previous reviewer. All the staff were really friendly and informative. It isn't too hard to walk from the entrance to the animals, but they also have very regular trams that run.
