We enjoyed the trail so much that we did it twice the first time we visited and then again when we came back.

Excellent way to see the faces from a variety of angles, that provide great picture opportunities. The trail to the base isn't too strenuous and (if necessary) you can turn around before going down the trail to the artist studio, which is somewhat strenuous.

The trail takes you up closer to the monument.. Fabulous for photos. It's flat most of the way, but then there are a lot of stairs. You can get a great view by not even attempting the stairs portion.

If you have come here then this walk, a little bit strenuous for elderly, is a must. The view is very good and some great shots of you with the faces in the background is possible too.

Loved everything about it. It is primarily a flat path with the exception of the final stretch which contains a series of staircases.

The views along the trail are unique and the path is paved for disabilities.

The walk consists of climbing up & down stairs. Not too strenuous but it is a good little workout. Bring some water. There is a vending machine in the women's restroom that has, for $2, Dasani water bottles. Otherwise the gift shop sells them for $2.25 + tax. Obviously the stairs are not wheelchair accessible.

Easy hike that gives great photo ops of the monument. A few exhibits along the way give something to do other than look for better angles of the monument. Well worth the time.
